I present to you: Intentional Drip

Intentional Drip Announcement

Long Post Alert but worth the read!

Most of you who are connected to me also know that I’m passionate about my community and I’m passionate about my people. This year I’d like to do something a little different for Black History Month. But it’s important that I first share my three core values and how employing them can potentially change the world. These values are integrity, transparency, and relationships.

Let me break it down:

Integrity – I haven’t always been a man of my word, but I’d like for people who know me to believe me, believe in me, and know that if I say I’m going to do something, they can count on me to do it, be there, or whatever else I say.

Transparency – I’m a direct communicator. I don’t hide that, EVER. What you see is what you get. I don’t believe in fluff, and I can’t stand when people are one way in front of you, and another way when you aren’t looking. I try to be as open, real, and honest about everything I can, even when it’s hard to hear.

Relationships – My mother used to always say, people are important to God, so they should be important to you. I believe that. I took it and ran with it. I value my relationships with people. Whether it’s for 5 minutes, or 5 years, however long we have, I want people to know that I truly was in the moment and was intentional about our time.

With that being said, I have learned that those three core values continue to shape all the work that I’m currently doing and plan to do.

I hope that those three core values are just the spark of something that can change the world, the culture, and our future. One way of doing that is by having honest, transparent, open, and intentional conversations with people. Sometimes it will be with people you care about. Sometimes it will be with strangers. I’ve met a lot of strangers in the last 20 months that have become friends, all surrounded by the premise of having intentional conversations.

I want to have more of those. And I want you to have more of those. So, I decided to create something that could facilitate that…

I present to you: Intentional Drip, an e-commerce coffee brand that promotes goodness and inclusion in the world while making a positive impact, one conversation at a time.

Intentional Drip will serve as the conduit to create these current conversations moving forward, create space for new conversations that need to be had, and serve as a way to get proximate to future conversations that you want to have.

I’m not selling you something, I’m inviting you to join me in using coffee to create space for people to connect or reconnect so that we can create the kind of community we can all be proud of. I’m not expecting everyone to get along, I don’t even expect everyone to like each other, but there’s something about overcoming the fear of difference, of stepping into the unknown and appreciating the intentional effort of one person trying.

My hope for Black History Month is this: that if Intentional Drip interests you in any way, you sign up for more information. I won’t share your information with anyone, nor will I misuse it to hassle you with emails. My hope is to keep you informed as things roll out in the coming weeks.

Whether you sign up or not, I want to say thank you. Thank you for believing in me, for randomly shooting me a message or responding to an email, thank you for saying something when we see each other in the world, thank you for challenging me, asking questions, or telling me that you disagree with me. My family, my community, and I thank you, for you being you and letting me be me.
